Room 10
Sounds Like Fun
We are working really hard learning our letter sounds.
Today we focused on the letter sound 'd'
Lennox and Eden worked really hard on hearing the 'd' sound in the beginning, middle and end of a word.
Kevin, Nevaeh, Taylar and Makusa looked into big letter 'd' and a small letter 'd'
Writing
Here is our first piece of writing. Room 10 wrote about what they have been doing during the long weekends.
Maths
We looked into what we do during the day. We then had to decide if it was the morning, afternoon or night.
Well done Room 10 for working so hard! What a great start to the year. Keep up the good work :)

Habitiats
So, this term Room 12 have been learning about habitats. These are some of the pictures that show our caterpillar and snail poems around our garden habitat picture, and some of our signposts we made to protect our beaches from people leaving rubbish on our beautiful New Zealand beaches. I hope you enjoy reading and looking at our latest inquiry work! :)

Room 10's Assembly
Room 10's Assembly:
We were very excited last week! We hosted the whole school assembly.
Our theme was raindrops and we made lovely raindrop crowns.
Here is a photo of us after the assembly.
Aaliyah introduced our raindrop item. Well done.
Arushi was nice and clear! She appreciated the audience for watching and listening to our item.
Aiyana spoke clearly and asked Mr Smith to introduce any new students to our school.
Rebecca was brave and asked Mrs Wylie to give out the pupil of the week awards.
Well done Hendrixx! He received the pupil of the week.
Saphire was a confident speaker. She asked the school councillors to announce the best class award.
Here is room 10 ready to perform their raindrop item!
